Our Historical Society Offered A Genealogy Lock-In for Old Kentucky Trees

 A rainy day outside but the Old Kentucky Trees researchers were having a ball digging through files at the Historical Library.

 The Historical Society was so glad to offer the "Lock-in" for the researchers.

 Yes, it is dark outside and 10:00 p.m. comes way to soon for serious researchers.

Old Kentucky Trees is an Internet genealogy group that have family ties to Wayne County KY. The Historical Society gladly offered a "Lock-In" for them to do research. We had folks from-KY, GA, CA, IA, MO, IL, MI, SC, NJ and Maryland. * Click on pictures to enlarge

 I took a walk on my lunch hour and the trees on the street below mine were beautiful!

 Beautiful colors.

 Soon they will all be on the ground :(.

 Nothing like the mountains in Southern KY.

 This was once a seedling that we transplanted from the Owltown Cemetery. It is going to be a beauty someday.

Dr. Ange's Mission Trip - Honduras - July 2010

Our daughter Dr. Ange on her first mission trip with Baptist Medical Missions. So many people helped Ange on her long journey to become a vet... She was so thankful that she could go and give... She was the first Vet that this team had taken... She has been blessed beyond measure.

Dr. Ange working in the mission field in Honduras. This picture is one of my favorites that she shared... She did not get there soon enough for this animal, it died later in the day. I know my daughter, and I know her deep campassion for animals and their owners. I am sure when this picture was taken her heart was heavy. "That's my girl"

Yes, Dr. Ange can milk a cow. Healthy livestock...makes for a healthy food source. She feels so blessed that she could help.

It is important to have healthy pets too.

Vaccinating and worming goats. Healthy animals ... Healthy people. Livestock is their livelihood.

Vaccinating a horse. Horses are used for work and transportation... A very important animal for the people of Honduras. Thank goodness for the guys that helped...the animals were NOT use to a visit from the Vet.

Vaccinating a donkey. The donkey is a heavily used work animal also.

Doing Vet work in the villages of Honduras. Hard work? Yes, but so rewarding.
